The audio journalist will produce news items for SCA’s FM stations and device apps. The content will also include items about the local community.
Candidates must have at least three years’ experience in a commercial radio station with a proven record of generating content within deadlines and can read out the news in a conversational style. Applicants proficient in NewsBoss and familiarity with the Gold Coast and Tweed may be considered. Prospective applications must include a sample concise audio demo alongside the cover letter and CV.

Grant Broadcasters’ Launceston newsroom has opened a new slot for a journalist.
The person will be assigned to cover developments in Tasmania’s northern areas such as Launceston, Scottsdale, Devonport, and Burnie, building up contacts along the way. They may also be assigned to produce content for the Hobart studios from time to time.
The ideal applicant must have worked in the commercial radio business for at least a year and have developed strong skills in news reading and digital content, plus proficiency in News Boss and Zetta.
Familiarity with the northern Tasmania region is also considered. In addition to the CV and cover letter, the candidate’s application packet must include an audio sample of a news bulletin read from the past six months and a unique digital story that was also published (with existing URL).
