Melbourne, Australia: Tuesday 22 July 2008 - Infosys has successfully implemented its Finacle
Universal Banking Solution for ANZ in Laos (ANZV). It marks the
first milestone in the multi-country deployment planned by ANZ over the next
three years.
Infosys
implemented Finacle in the record time of just 180 days, making ANZV the first
bank to receive the latest version of the platform – Finacle v10 – which
features revolutionary web based awareness technology and SOA architecture.
Infosys
Australia Chief Executive Officer, Gary Ebeyan described the successful
implementation as a great example of its ability to partner successfully with a
bank operating in multiple geographies. "We are very pleased to be
working with ANZ to help it achieve its goal of implementing a core banking
solution throughout Asia," Ebeyan said.
"Considerable
planning was undertaken to ensure all aspects of the project were managed
effectively. This saw Finacle delivered in record time using a tailored
version of our Global Delivery Model, whereby the ANZ and Infosys teams worked
together offshore."
Finacle
will give ANZV's customers access to real-time account balances, faster account
processing and an expanded range of products and services including electronic
options and debit cards.
