We're looking for an experienced Technology/B2B Account Director to join our fast growing technology practice.

Based in our Sydney office you will be working as key member on more than one global technology brand and supporting our Capital Markets team on a range of exciting tech start-ups.

You'll be working with team members in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth and overseas with our colleagues in Singapore and the United States.

Day to Day…

You will be working within a results orientated, intelligent team that will help guide you through your communications career. Leading existing campaigns on major accounts (check out our clients on ppr.com.au) you will have a pivotal role in developing communications strategies, media and influencer liaison, writing, content management and social strategy and management. You will be generating awareness and meeting client business objectives and results through your keen knowledge of the market, the media, client service and general management of client needs.

What you will need to secure this amazing opportunity…

Strong experience being the lead strategic counsel for large international or national clients in the B2B and/or technology sector
A proven track record of managing a team with outstanding leadership skills
Demonstrated success in identifying and converting new business from beginning to end.
Your strong networking and influencing skills will give you the ability to find opportunities and convert them into a new compatible client that your team would love to partner with
Experience with fully integrated owned, earned and bought philosophies and why as a communications agency this is now critical for us and our clients
Good financial acumen – You will understand how an agency works to get the most out of the agency in terms of productivity and efficiencies
Intelligent, creative and strategic thinker – You are highly energised and self-motivated and don't wait around to be told what to do
Excellent Time Management Skills – Ability to juggle conflicting priorities in a demanding environment
Passionate about all communications channels – digital and social will be environments you are comfortable operating in
Knowledge of the Business and/or Technology media landscape - Relationship driven
Strong writing skills – Are a must for all great communicators
All-rounder that is able to work across multiple clients from various industries
Impeccable verbal communication skills

We are looking for an experienced PR professional or experienced media professional/journalist who believes in communications and its ability to make a difference. Our company is growing as we invest in new platforms, industries and technologies, and we’re looking someone to come in as a consultant to grow with us.


We’re looking for the right fit: whether you're already working in PR, have a background in journalism or another related industry, or even if you’re looking to start a career or take the next step in one, we’d like to have a chat.



Clients include well-known multi-national and local organisations in enterprise and consumer technology, sustainability, cybersecurity, arts and entertainment, and more.


We work with mainstream and trade media; create digital content and develop and advise on partner, customer and internal communications; and manage social media platforms for spokespeople and companies. We work very collaboratively and support and challenge each other every day.


Applicants should have:
Excellent written and verbal communications
Experience with and understanding of the A/NZ media landscape
Interest in and knowledge of digital media
Experience working directly with and managing clients
Strong attention to detail
Four to seven years’ experience in the media industry at a senior level; two to four years at consultant level; or 1-2 years at assistant consultant level


Roles and responsibilities may include (pending the role you fit):
Management of multiple client comms programs and campaigns
Working directly with media, analysts, influencers and other key stakeholders
Providing strategic client program management
Working with the Watterson senior team in new business development and generation
Managing communications/PR programs from the ground up and executing strategic programs
